The lead stories on television read in a haunting monotone by familiar anchors declare if we don’t do something immediately, mankind could cease to exist, and despite the warnings, it may already be too late. Scientists all agree this climate phenomenon is irreversible and the consequences are devastating!
And what is this ‘climate’ disaster that threatens our very existence. It must be global warming, or climate change, right?
Well, actually, no, it’s ‘global cooling.’ An April 1972 Time Magazine cover screamed, “How to Survive the Coming Ice Age,” against a backdrop of a penguin standing triumphantly on an iceberg. Newsweek said, “The Cooling World: There are ominous signs that the earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious implications for just about every nation on earth…’A major climatic change would force economic and social adjustments on a worldwide scale,’ warns a report by the National Academy of Sciences.”
When actual news footage of the coming ‘global ice age’ scare are presented in the same segment as dire ‘global warming’ predictions and now ‘climate change’ hyperbole, your initial reaction is to laugh. And then you feel, well, hustled!
And that’s exactly what the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) professionally and dramatically conveys in their newly released documentary, Climate Hustle. Says a CFACT news release, “Viewers are taken on a journey back in time to reveal centuries – yes centuries – of climate panic and fear. The film shows rarely seen clips of 1970s global cooling newscasts and how ‘stagecraft’ was employed to juice the narrative of man-made global warming fears in the 1980s.” Adds the movie’s website, “Climate Hustle will reveal the history of climate scares, examine the science on both sides of the debate, dig into the politics and media hype surrounding the issue, show how global warming has become a new religion for alarmists, and explain the impacts the warming agenda will have on people in America and around the world.”
The documentary premiered on Monday evening, December 7, at a movie theater in Paris to coincide with the COP 21 fervor sweeping this historic city. When I arrived at the theater, I was greeted by police barriers, and a small gaggle of ‘protesters’ who were almost exclusively young white college age kids chanting and singing hopelessly out of tune. So much for diversity and multiculturalism I guess. Quite honestly I was disappointed by the effort and thought with all the hundreds of millions of dollars lavished on the green activists these days and this is all they could muster!
Not only does the documentary highlight the absurdity of these overplayed scare tactics, it also hits the science straight on by using dramatic testimony of former ‘climate change’ scientists who left the movement once they realized the data no longer fit the narrative. “The film is the first climate documentary to profile scientists who have reversed their views from supporting the so-called ‘consensus’ position to a conversation to skepticism. The film also profiles politically left scientists who have now declared themselves skeptics of man-made global warming.” Climate Hustle features “interviews and comments from more than 30 renowned scientists and climate experts” who present “compelling evidence that devastates the global warming scare.”
Actually, these renowned scientists didn’t leave the movement in many instances, the movement voted them off the island because they were bad for business. Scientists featured prominently include Dr. Judith Curry, an award winning climatologist, who chaired the School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Institute of Technology. She says, “If the IPCC is dogma, then count me in as a heretic…I was sort of booted out of the
Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore provides dramatic testimony about a movement he previously dedicated his life. He abandoned the green movement in 1986 because of its radicalization, and notes in the film that there “is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.” Lead UN IPCC author Dr. Richard Tol, a professor at the University of Sussex, is a climate statisticians who dramatically reveals that “this 97% [consensus claim of the green movement] is essentially pulled from thin air. It is not based on any credible research whatsoever.”
Climate Hustle is hosted by Marc Morano, who is the executive editor and chief correspondent for CFACT’s Climatedepot.com. His humorous and non-confrontational style allows the facts and testimony of the experts to completely obliterate the narrative the Left’s been spewing for years about the calamities facing the world. The film’s executive producers include CFACT President David Rothbard and Executive Director Craig Rucker, who also served as our hosts for Monday’s premiere. And what movie opening would be complete without a red carpet entrance, champagne, and best of all, local cheese, bread, and various meats.
A must see for all those who want to know the real truth behind this critically important issue. Climate Hustle would be hilarious except for the fact that the ‘climate’ movement so dramatically laid bare in the film is a huge threat to the world’s economy and the well being of all the earth’s inhabitants.
