The Energy & Environment Legal Institute has added an opponent of wind energy to its ranks.

Kevon Martis has joined the conservative-leaning group as a senior policy fellow. Martis is the founder and executive director of the Interstate Informed Citizens Coalition, where he campaigned against the building of industrial wind turbines in Ohio and Michigan…

David Schnare, chairman and general counsel of E&E Legal, said in a statement the group is excited about Martis joining the team.

“Kevon and his group have been fighting at the local level against one of the biggest taxpayer-funded boondoggles of all time, and that’s wind power, an industry that wouldn’t survive without mandates and the massive subsidies and tax credits lavished on it each year,” Schnare said.
