The Energy & Environment Legal Institute is targeting the Sierra Club, alleging that one of the country’s most powerful environmental organizations is not complying with tax law.
The conservative-leaning critic of U.S. EPA and the environmental movement filed complaints with the Internal Revenue Service today against the Sierra Club and theSierra Club Foundation. In a separate report released today, E&E Legal says the environmental group’s attacks on coal power and promotion of renewable energy are benefiting its board directors and donors.
