When Democrats unveiled their new party platform at the DNC, it read like the mission statement from Tom Steyer’s NextGen Climate PAC.
The Energy & Environment Legal Institute first identified the similarities in a July 25 report, calling them “policy plagiarism.” The report also called Tom Steyer “the most affluent crony capitalist.”
E&E Legal created a side-by-side chart revealing that climate change goals in the draft Democratic Party Platform were virtually identical to NextGen’s goal of destroying U.S. coal powered energy by 2050.
The proposed platform also promoted NextGen’s propaganda that “clean energy” will create millions of jobs and reduce energy bills.
