Saying the nation cannot regulate itself out of climate change, a GOP lawmaker on Capitol Hill has introduced what he calls a “Green Real Deal.” OneNewsNow spoke with someone who says the congressman is trying to “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.”

“History will judge harshly my Republican colleagues who deny the science of climate change,” Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) said at Wednesday’s rollout of the Green Real Deal. “Similarly, those Democrats who would use climate change as a basis to regulate out of existence the American experience will face the harsh reality that their ideas will fail.”…

Steve Milloy of Junk Science takes exception to the plan.

“It’s the same sort of climate bedwetting that people like me have been fighting for the last 25 years,” Milloy told OneNewsNow on Thursday. “We had this tremendous victory against the Green New Deal and he comes up with this total retrograde proposal with retrograde language. Has he forgotten who’s president? It’s hard to know what’s going on in that guy’s mind.”

Milloy has challenged Gaetz to a debate.
