New documentation released by an energy advocacy group shows special interests surreptitiously influenced the formulation of the Obama administration’s Clean Power Plan.

Culled from Freedom of Information requests, emails show that Michael Goo, a former administrator with the Environmental Protection Agency, used a private email account to collaborate with environmentalists. What’s alleged by the Energy & Environment Legal Institute is an unseemly end run around the public interest that gave special interests not only an ear but a direct role in drafting a sweeping energy policy.
