Steve Milloy, E&E Legal Senior Policy Felllow and Junkscience.com founder, joined other distinguished free-market organizations like the Heartland Institute and C-Fact, in a letter urging President Trump to “expedite the finalization of the EPA’s proposed rescission of all greenhouse gas emissions standards for coal plants.” The letter went on to add:
Although the current global energy crisis is likely to be transient, our domesKc energy needs for data centers and reindustrializaKon are rapidly growing. They underscore the further need for America to be able to uKlize its own natural resources, especially coal.
We should be burning as much coal as possible for electricity generaKon so we can export as much natural gas to countries that will pay more for it than U.S. uKliKes will for electricity generaKon. Coal came to America’s rescue in response to the 1970s energy crisis. It can do so again.
