As Appearing in the California Globe

The California governor carries on as if he is running for President or is a candidate-in-waiting

The contrast between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom could not be more glaring, as both governors were on display Monday.

2024 Republican Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis released a new ad on Monday critical of Governor Gavin Newsom’s policies and disastrous results, leading to California’s significant population loss, the out-of-control homeless crisis, rising crime, theft and property crime, and businesses leaving the state in record numbers.

DeSantis who was in California Monday for several fundraising events, says in the ad:

“The American people as a whole have voted with their feet when you compare California against Florida. We have had a great experiment in governing philosophies. We’ve witnessed a great American exodus from states governed by leftist politicians. This is a result of better governance in states like Florida. It is the result of poor governance in these left wing states. That’s why people are moving.”

Sadly, Gov. DeSantis is right. Left wing cities and states are buckling under the weight of misguided and poor leadership, as well as corruption.

Rather than admit California’s serious problems, Governor Gavin Newsom joined President Biden and a California Climate Action Corps volunteer in Palo Alto Monday “to lift up the President’s announcement of more than $600 million in federal grant funding for climate resilience projects across the country.”
