The godfather of climate alarmism is former NASA climate chief James Hansen, who famously launched the global warming scare with his Senate testimony on a sweltering Washington, D.C. day in June 1988. Hansen subsequently warned in December 2005 that: “the Earth’s climate is nearing a tipping point beyond which it will be impossible to avoid climate change with far-ranging undesirable consequences.” Since then, climate radicals have been pushing the notion of “climate tipping points” to scare the public about fossil fuel emissions. But a funny thing happened on the way to “net zero by 2050” – 2025. This year has proven to be an unexpected tipping point for climate realism.
