As Appearing on The Washington Examiner
Kamala Harris has decided that her self-declared “existential threat” isn’t so terrifying after all.
The former vice president just dropped roughly eight million dollars on a mansion in Malibu’s celebrity haven, Pt. Dume, complete with sweeping ocean views and a beach just a stroll away. Oceanfront living is nice work if you can afford it, especially if your paycheck came from taxpayers. The property sits a few hundred feet from the Pacific, which, if you believe Harris’s speeches, should be devouring coastlines any moment. Yet the ex-Veep chose this patch of endangered paradise for her private retreat. It’s almost as if she knows the water isn’t coming.
That contradiction never seems to bother the professional climate grifters. Their message is for everyone else. Americans are told to regulate thermostats, ditch gas cars, and submit to higher prices for “planetary justice.” The lecturing is constant. Harris once said that being “practical” means changing personal behavior to slow the planet’s decline.
Yet her own practicality has involved spending millions on private jet travel and purchasing one of California’s most desirable coastal compounds. Only the climate establishment could twist virtue into something so self-serving and call it leadership. Her environmental morality is a sermon delivered from the pulpit of a luxury veranda with panoramic views of the Pacific.
